This attractive patch is 3-1/2" tall and 2-1/4" wide.
It utilizes 100% embroidery coverage (the entire patch is embroidered), giving it a texture and depth that are striking to the eye and interesting to the touch
This patch is laser cut, that is, cut around a non-traditional shape. The border is thinner, less defined than on a traditional shape (rectangle, square, or circle). Laser cutting adds about 30 cents to the cost of each patch, but it can make your patch unique.
This simple but elegant circle patch is 2-1/2" in diameter. The embroidery coverage is 75% -- that is, 75% of the twill background is covered by embroidery. This keeps the cost down and still makes a fine-looking patch.
Now here's a patch we're really proud of. This one is laser cut and has amazing color "fades" (on the POC lettering) that show the great skill of our digitizers (the artists who create computerized embroidery files that mechanically sew such magnificent patches). This one is 10" x 4-1/2" and is worn as a back patch on a jacket.
Here are some neat (and tiny) patches. They come on perforated paper with pressure-sensitive (tough but not-permanent peel-and-stick) backing. These are little blue stallions, a mere 3/4" x 1/2", compared to a U.S. penny.
Here's an unusual patch an artist -- or an embroidery digitizing artist -- can be proud of. It's Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry Night" recreated in embroidery thread.
This cool patch is a 2" x 4" rectangle in honor of a scooter rally. It has sew-on backing, which works best for leather jackets.
This simple but powerful graphic, surrounded by bold lettering and embroidered in stark contrast (bright gold on black twill), really catches the eye and makes a fine-looking patch.
This 4" x 3" patch utilizes 100% embroidery coverage, an unobtrusive white border, and iron-on backing. Whether applied with a home iron or applied professionally with a heat seal machine, iron-on backing wears like, well, iron through washings and weather. Not recommended for leather but works great on everything else and stiffens a patch to make it heavier too. Iron-on backing adds about 20% to the cost of a patch.
Here's a spectacular patch! 100% embroidery coverage, metallic thread, laser cut, and very colorful. It's worn on the jacket backs of motorcycle club members (their design is copyrighted) and is 11-1/2" by 7". It has many elements: a coiled snake with wide-open and detailed mouth and fangs, a motorcycle engine, the club name, several maltese crosses, and a Catholic cross. Metallic thread (as shown) adds about 30% to the cost of a patch.
Like Italian Moto Guzzi motorcycles? Show off your passion for these cool machines with a Moto Guzzi back patch, measuring 10-1/4" across, or a jacket patch that measures 4-1/2" across. Both have iron-on backing.
